The 16th South African Chemical Institute (SACI) inorganic chemistry conference (INORG2013) is a biennial scientific event held in South Africa. The next conference will be held at the Southern Sun Elangeni Hotel, Durban, from 30 June to 4 July 2013. The scope of the conference covers all branches of inorganic chemistry, including coordination chemistry (synthesis, structure, bonding), organometallic chemistry, materials, bioinorganic chemistry, catalysis, and supramolecular nanoscience. In 2013, for the first time, the Carman physical chemistry conference will be incorporated to spark a physical/inorganic chemistry symbiosis, as well as a larger number of green chemistry contributions added to the programme. INORG2013 is also pleased to announce a number of distinguished international and national speakers including John Gladysz (Texas A&M University, and Editor-in-Chief: Organometallics) and Robin Rogers (Alabama, and Editor-in-Chief: Crystal Growth and Design,) and Len Barbour (Stellenbosch) to deliver plenary lectures. This conference represents the leading national scientific/technical meeting in the field of inorganic chemistry and attracts researchers and postgraduate students from all universities, government laboratories and industry. Approximately 150-180 delegates typically attend this conference.
